Abstract
The evolution of digital tools has revolutionized the field of oral and maxillofacial surgery, allowing us to achieve unprecedented levels of precision and predictability in complex treatments. This lecture, titled “When Mechanics Kiss Bio”, will explore how the integration of biomechanical principles and biological considerations has opened the door to groundbreaking innovations, particularly in the realm of personalized treatment solutions.
The focus will be on two primary advancements:
1. Individualized Dental Implants for Atrophic Maxillas: These customized implants address the challenges of severely resorbed maxillary bones, offering tailored solutions that optimize bone support and enhance long-term outcomes.
2. Individualized Minimally Invasive Orthognathic Surgery: By leveraging cutting-edge digital planning and 3D printing technologies, we are now able to design and execute highly specific, minimally invasive surgical interventions, offering patients shorter recovery times, reduced trauma, and improved aesthetics.
